Beef Cattle and Hogs

Cattle

No feedlots here! Our beef is 100% pasture raised. We currently grow a motley mix of Herefords, Black Angus, and a few other crossbred cattle. Disposition, mothering traits, and ability to finish on grass are priorities around here.

Freezer Beef

If USDA processed cuts aren't your style, we do occasionally offer whole beef animals for sale.

Finished animals, ready for the freezer, are usually available for $2.45 per lb liveweight but prices can fluctuate based on current market prices. 

​

Please contact us to see if we have cattle at your desired size or to be added to our wait list!

​

Whole beef animals and half cows will have limited availability due to processing constraints.

​

At the moment we do not offer custom 1/4 cows. Since Covid it's been nearly impossible to secure extra processing dates unless you book them 9 mo - 1 year in advance. 

​

We sometimes offer 1/4 cow packages, bundles, and standard boxes as an alternative. These can be found on our online store.

Hogs

​1/8,  1/4,  1/2   Hog Shares

​

Please Note: Hogs will be processed and smoked via a USDA processed and inspected facility.

​

  • Eighth Hog- A 1/8 share yields approximately 16lbs of meat. Each portion consists of pork chops, ham, roasts, bacon and sausage.  A 1/8 share will cost $125 and includes standard processing and smoking. A $50 deposit is required to commit to a share with balance to be paid at pickup.

  • Quarter Hog- A ¼ share yields approximately 32lbs of meat. Each portion consists of pork chops, ham, roasts, bacon and sausage.  A ¼ share will cost $250 and includes standard processing and smoking. A $50 deposit is required to commit to a share with balance to be paid at pickup.

  • Half Hog- A ½ share yields approximately 65lbs of meat. Each portion consists of pork chops, ham, roasts, bacon and sausage.  A 1/2 share will cost $470 and includes standard processing and smoking. A $100 deposit is required to commit to a share with balance to be paid at pickup.

  • Whole Hog or Market Pigs

    They will range in size from 200-250lbs.

    All market pigs are sold at $1.85 per lb live weight.

    Note: a 245lb market hog will yield between 110 and 120lbs of processed cuts. We usually estimate that processing costs at a butcher will cost an additional $~325.

​

Feeder Pigs

We sometimes put together a load of feeder pigs for the end of April. Please call to see if we're picking up feeder pigs anytime soon.
